6 Essential Steps To Great Wealth

Sunday, March 30, 2008

By Naomi Botha

Every human being who has the capability to understand the purpose of money wishes he or she had a lot of it. Unfortunately merely wishing for it will not make it happen. What then will create this wealth that you and I are looking for? I can for a surety say that it is a great 'DESIRE' for wealth, such a desire that will put you in a state of mind that will actually become an obsession. Once you have that obsession it is necessary to plan definite ways and means to acquire that wealth, and then backing up those plans with persistence that will not know 'FAILURE'. This is the where the result will bring forth 'WEALTH'.

There are six definite steps to desired wealth:

1. Fix your mind on the exact amount of money you desire. It must be exact, there is a psychological reason for this.

2. Determine exactly how much you will give back in return for the money you desire. There is no such thing as getting something for nothing.

3. Set a definite date by which you intent to possess the money you desire.

4. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire. The secret is to do it immediately, whether you are ready or not. Put the plan into action.

5. Put it in writing. Be clear and concise in your statements.Write out the whole plan from step one to six.

6. Read your written statement aloud, twice every day. Read it once just before you go to bed at night, and once when you wake up in the morning. As you read - see, feel and believe you already possess the money.

It is essential for you to follow these six steps, but even more essential to follow step six. Your obsession must be strong enough to convince yourself that you will acquire that money. You need to want it so badly that your obsession will make you convince yourself that you will have it.

Only those who become completely 'money conscious' ever accumulate great wealth. To be 'money conscious' means that you become so obsessed in your desire to attain wealth that you can see yourself already in possession of it.

You Already Have What You Need

Wednesday, March 26, 2008

By David M Starikov

Every animal and non animal in nature is always provided for. They seem to get what they need to survive with the exception of a few. We are no different then any other animal except for the fact that we can think and have superior intelligence. The fact remains that we are still part of nature because it is engraved in us and always will be. We may not be in the wilderness anymore but we have taken the principles that are in nature and brought them into the real world. I believe getting money is no different then a bird catching a worm. The worm or money is already there, we just have to be on the lookout and go for it when we see it.

You must train yourself to be aware and practice the art of just being until that opportunity comes. You must also tell the world that you want this or that opportunity to come. By just being, you will detach yourself from the desire and by being aware, you will know when the opportunity arrives.

Realize that earth is a fertile ground for life. Everything had to happen just right for life to happen. When I look at a tree I see how it just grows effortlessly and it usually gets what it needs to keep on growing. What does a tree do? Nothing, yet it achieves everything. That's the nature of the world.

When you realize that that's the nature of the world, then you will know you already have what you need and you will be able to wait until you get it with a level of detachment.

Learn the FACTS of Life From A CEO - Comedian

By Mohamad Latiff

Last week, I was invited by a friend to a seminar organised by a network marketing company in Singapore. I am not affiliated with the company in any way. What really attracted me to the seminar was the guest speaker of that afternoon. I will tell you more about her in a moment, but I must say she is one amazing woman. Who is she?

She is Irene Ang, a local Singaporean artiste who had risen above challenges to set up her own artiste management company, FLY Entertainment. It was the first of its kind in Singapore. When she was just starting out with FLY, people had told her that the market size was too small to be sustainable. Yet she is now the pioneer of the industry with more companies following in her footsteps. She went on to build her results sheet with 3 more businesses while maintaining her successful television career. Her feats are recognised by the 'Spirit of Enterprise' award and the 'Best Comedy Actress' award.

In her speech, she had summarized the keys to her professional success in the acronym - FACTS. None of the concepts are exactly alien to me, but it is the way she built rapport with the audience which made the 5 lessons more personal and easier to relate to them.

Well, it can easily be because the audience has been watching her in the TV for the past 6 years, but nevertheless, her FACTS are easy to remember and apply to everyone. They represent the 5 values that are dear to her and have been helping her to become the woman she is today.

They are Family, Accountability, Change, Teachability and Exercise. If you have realised that the last value is somewhat out of sync, just bear in mind that she is famous for being funny.

Family

She mentioned that burn outs and fatigue are no strangers for entrepreneur. We are the CEO, accountant, creative director, HR manager and office boy of our own business. That's one man doing the work of five.

There is no magic bullet to do our work for us and no elixir to ease the pain. The only thing that can keep us going through is a strong reason, the very reason to pull ourselves together and persevere.

In Irene's case and almost all of the MLM distributors', family is a very strong reason which motivates them to pull through the fatigue. What they have is simply a dream to give a better life for their family.

So, what is your one reason to pull you through the tows of business building?

Accountability

No matter what business you're doing, even if you're in the mortuary business, you'll need trust from your customers and business partners to grow a sustainable business. The best way is to be accountable for your actions.

In practical terms, it means you need to be a reliable and smart business owner. A reliable man says, "I will fulfil all my promises to everyone!" and a smart man says, "I will not make any promises to just everyone!"

So, can you live up to the maxim of "Only making promises that you can fulfil"?

Change

Flexibility is the crux here. The survival of a business depends on its ability to follow market changes and also to reinvent itself.

The power to reinvent is what differentiates a knowledgeable man from a smart robot. If we have lost the ability to reinvent ourselves or our businesses, we are no different from a calculator.

Side-Note: If you are having in your business with flexibility issues or having a short supply of ideas, try dropping an email or write in the comment box below to Latiff . He is the CEO/Creative Director/Master Programmer(if there is such a position)/HR Manager/Talent Scout of USOS and has been an entrepreneur since 2000 after all. He knows the woes of setting up a business.

So, when is the last time you have reinvent yourself?

Teachability

Learning is a life-long commitment. You have probably heard of the maxim, "Readers are leaders" for the umpteenth time and understand its importance. Not just business owners, anyone who ceases to learn will find themselves bored of living. The difficult part lies in maintaining a proactive attitude towards learning. Most people have a closed mind towards learning: "If it doesn't sound right to me, it ain't right."

Irene practises this by reminding herself, "Everyone has something for me to learn." It sounds pretty sensible to me.

So, what are you obstinate and sceptical about?

Exercise

The word 'exercise' should be pronounced as 'Sss-ser-cise'. You can't find this word in Google. The origin of this twisted word is actually Singapore's Singlish.

Success, in Irene's analogy, is a long marathon. To complete such a feat will definitely require a strong endurance and an unwavering determination. As you know, endurance and determination do not grow on bushes. The marathoner has to exercise and PRACTISE frequently to develop his endurance and build his determination.

You may already know what is required to be an entrepreneur. You just need to practise it regularly. Instead of waiting for the million-dollar opportunity to drop on your lap, practise spotting opportunities so that you would not miss it when it comes. Instead of convincing yourself that you will start learning about networking when you have a business, start attending networking sessions and meeting new people.

So, what do you think you should start practising every day?

To sum up Irene's FACTS of life, they are Family, Accountability, Change, Teachability and Exercise.

In short, you must 1) Have a strong reason to succeed in life. 2) Keep your promises 3) Reinvent yourself and your business from time to time 4) Maintain an open mind 5) Practise what you want to achieve constantly.

So, do you think you can practise the FACTS of life?

A Lesson In The Culture Of Success - From My Daughter

Thursday, March 20, 2008

By Rick Weaver

Two years ago my daughter had a dream of someday becoming a cheerleader. She translated her dream into action steps which involved weekly gymnastics training, the addition of a trampoline in our backyard, and occasional jogging.

She went to her first tryout and poured her heart into it. She practiced every evening and on the weekend, teaming with another to develop her final routine. She had confidence in her effort and performance. She had trouble sleeping the night before the new cheer squad would be announced as anticipation chased away all morsels of melatonin. Tears flowed when her name was absent from the final list.

She would not give up. She read cheerleading books from the library, subscriber to a cheerleading magazine, and intensified her use of the trampoline to develop and refine her moves.

Finally it was time for another try-out. She committed her body and time to the sacrifice necessary to make the time. But alas, at the end of the tryouts only the names of others were on the roster.

It was summertime when thoughts of school fall to the back of the mind, yet my daughter continued to hone the skills required for the cheerleading squad. "This year there will be more girls on the squad," she reflected with surety that she would be among the new members. Learning, practicing, and mind-development filled the summer days, although giving into some of the uniqueness of the summer season's special activities.

Soon the weather chilled signaling another fall with another opportunity to make the cheer team. The long afternoon tryout drills were tiring, but they did not dim her hopes - which thrived until the third occurrence of announcing the squad, without her.

Disappointment was severe - three tries and three failures. In despair, she indicated she would move on to something else.

We were surprised when she announced that another cheerleading tryout was coming up for the winter semester and stated she was once again going to make another attempt for the team. As with each prior endeavor, the try-outs occupied her time. She worked out on the trampoline, did back-walk-overs in the house, read her books and magazines, and dreamed that her action plan would finally deliver the most wanted reward. She tuned out the critics by encouraged others trying out to do better, which also helped her draw on her talent.

When I went to pick her up after the new squad was announced she was sitting in a rejected posture on the bench in front of the school. "How long is she going to subject herself to disappointment?" I thought.

As she approached the car she could contain herself no long. "I made it!"

Now the team has won two championship trophies. That's them in the picture above.

Not only had my daughter's dream, turned into a plan which grew to fruition, she experienced that rare feeling that she was part of championship team.

Who could learn from my daughter's lesson? What about the entrepreneur that feels like giving up? What about the business executive that feels they are in over their head? What about the culture that feels they will always be oppressed? What about other dreamers?

Rick Weaver is an accomplished business executive with a wealth of experience in retail, market analysis, supply chain enhancement, project management, team building, and process improvement.

By Z Bennett

This is it people this is your life. Good bad or indifferent this is your life. So how is it going for you? Do you have a great life or do you have an okay life? I hope that you are not one of those people living a sad life. Are you one of those people that have had a few things that are not going the way that you would like it to go to get where you want it to. If you are a person that is not living the way you think you should live I have a secret that I want to share with you. The secret is that you can do just about anything that you want to do. You can have better and fuller life. Yes, I know that you have heard it all before. Hear is part of the problem. How before I share this information with you I want you to get a pen and paper. Now in large letters I want you to write this down. The one thing stopping you from moving forward and living the life that you deserve is YOU.

Now when I say you, I mean changing your attitude. Your habits some good some bad these are the things that you have done so far to get you where you are today. Each day we all have many successes. One you have to keep score of your successes. We do so much we forget all the things that we have done. We all have succeeded at to get where we are today now. Some of us are so busy reaching for more we forget what we have done. So right at the point where we are about to succeed we are looking at the next thing. Many of us just forget.

Years ago I read a story about a young martial artist that wanted to be the best martial artist and a great success. This was all that he thought about. This young man went from trainer to trainer looking for best Martial art trainer. After many years he came to the person who was known as the greatest martial arts master. The great martial arts master live in old small house in the middle of no-where. The young man walked and searched and after days he found the house. As the young man got closer to the house he saw a figure rocking in a rocking chair. As he got closer the person just kept rocking in the chair. Once the young man reached the house he saw this old man. The old man looked harmless and paid you new comer not mind. This upset the young man and became angry. In his anger went to strike the older man and in the blink of an eye he was on his back and in great pain.

When he looked the older man was still in the chair and still rocking. So the man not knowing what to do next just sat watching the old man who was still rocking front of the house and said nothing. He sat for about two days. In the morning of the third day the old man came up to the younger man. The old man spoke to the new comer. The young man, begged for the old man for forgiveness. He then asked him to teach him. The old man refused. The young man refused to leave stayed around for over a year just working around the area mostly to help the older man that had refused him.

On day to old man softened walked up to the young man. The house was about 30 yards from the beach facing the ocean. The old man saying nothing took the young man by the hand. The young man did as he wanted and followed. Then the young man realized the old man was walking him towards the ocean. Then entered into the water and kept walking. The water got deeper and deeper as they walked further. Soon the water was up to their knees. Then it was over their waist but the man kept walking and he water was farther. Then it was up near their noses. Then it was over their heads and they where under the water. They continued a few more feet then the man stopped. When the young man could just about no longer hold his breath the old man turned and walked out of the water. Once their heads were above the water the young man grabbed for the surface. He wanted air more then anything the cool air felt great. Once back on dry land he fell on to the sandy beach. The older man just kept walking upon reaching his chair he sat and started rocking again. The young man again was angry however this time he controlled himself. Upon reaching the old man he asked teach I believed you where trying to kill us both. The master said to him you came for knowledge yet you missed the lesson. Great master what was the lesson. Asked the young man?

Young man when you want martial arts mastery and success, as much as you wanted to breathe you will find what you seek.

Again lights action camera you are on.

The Habit of Creating What You Want

Saturday, March 8, 2008

By Kathryn Perry

One of the challenges of creating a new and exciting life is to figure out what is it one wants exactly. For many it is easy to think of what one doesn't want or the many reasons things didn't work out in the past. For many, there is a certain logic in this approach: If you identify the failures or limitations from the past, then you can simply correct in yourself the perceived flaws and thus you can have everything you want.

The problem with this approach is that you can't create your future by looking at your past. Personal reflection is a good thing if you can look at your past through loving eyes. There is a famous quote "Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it". People often keep condemning their histories instead of learning, forgiving, and moving on. When you focus on your failings and limitations you are recreating the limitations and failings in your subconscious programming.

If you program your mind for what you don't want it will produce nothing new or even worse - bring you the very result you were hoping to avoid. We joke in the Commanding Wealth Seminar.' " Don't say "don't" the subconscious mind "don't" hear don't". If you read that sentence out loud what do you hear? Do you hear "Always say do"? No of course not, you heard don't-don't-don't and that becomes your experience in the world and in your relationships.

When we use The One Command' we state " I don't know how I ....I only know I do know and I am fulfilled." We are using the word "don't" intentionally to stop the old negative thinking and to redirect the mind and the emotions into a new possibility of experience.

I had a client that had the "Can't-won't-don't" program running. We were discussing options for her to generate income for herself based on what resources she currently had available to her, which from my perspective were considerable. In addition to being very clear about what she didn't want in her life she knew exactly where the possibility of success was NOT. Every time I would suggest a new possibility she would answer in some variation of "Well I can't because my church won't help me and they don't have groups that support that anyway."

Teasing her, I said I was tempted to start pinching her every time she made an objection instead of allowing herself a moment to consider her options; but she was doing such a good job of punishing herself I told her instead that I'd like to walk her up to theta (the unified brain state) and have her make The One Command' instead. She smiled and chose to do the latter.

The first command was "I don't' know how I say yes to the good in me and in my life I only know I do now and I am fulfilled." The second command was " I don't know how I know my heart's desire, I only know I do now and I am fulfilled."

These two statements stopped her negative thinking and while in theta she was able to access the powerful, positive, aspects of her nature that knows the truth of her good in her, and the truth of her heart's desire. After doing those two simple commands she had an idea that she felt sure would generate some income for her. I asked her if there was any reason someone would oppose her in this venture? She answered no. I asked if she felt she had all the tools and help to make it happen and she enthusiastically told me about several people who would be willing and able to help. I asked her if there was any personality flaw or weakness that would keep her from succeeding and she said no that she felt mentally and emotionally able to do whatever it took.

In my hypnosis practice I used a post hypnotic suggestion with clients just before coming back into full awareness that goes, "There is no individual or group, no thought, image, idea or situation in your present, or past or that could ever arise in your future that can keep you from having anything your heart desires." When you go into the theta brainwave and make The One Command' you will experience the truth of that statement from the deepest level of your being. Furthermore, the truth of your life becomes:

"Every person, each thought, image, and idea, situations from my past, present, or may arise in my future support me in my pursuit of my heart's desire."

To learn how to use The One Command' in everyday situations, take advantage of our weekly One Command' teleconference call each Wednesday at 9 am PDT, 11am CST and Noon EST. It's free, simply call 218-486-1300, you'll be asked for a bridge number punch in 682343

How to Succeed Without Extraordinary Talents

Wednesday, March 5, 2008

By Vincent Kituku

"When Boise State Football Team gets on the field, they know why they are there and what they have to do to succeed." This was said by a former BSU Football coach as we discussed the presentations I had given to his deeply talented team compared to teams in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).

One clarification, talent has its place in life and people who are talented and use their talents well do succeed in extraordinary ways. What I want to make clear is that you can succeed in what you do even if you don't have talents.

I had given numerous motivational speeches and training sessions for both players and coaches at BSU since 1998. After the above statement, I started paying attention to the key aspects of individuals that required no talent, but lead to enormous success in professional and personal endeavors.

My involvement with BSU Football has been one of the greatest experiences in life. Why would it not be for a Kenyan who comes to the USA with zero football knowledge, then reads about it in newspapers and asks a coach to let him speak to the team about winning, focus, teamwork, staying away from drugs and other destructive off the field activities? Today, I am probably the only human being with several coaches' uniforms (from several schools) for a sport I had no clue how it was played when my first speaking to the BSU Team. Allow me to add that in 2003, after the team won several conference championships and bowl games; I was honored by being selected as their Grand Marshall for the Homecoming game.

What, however, intrigues me is the performance level of the BSU Football Team, year after year. The WAC teams don't have deep pockets to compete for talents against upscale football teams. But Boise State football players have what individuals need to succeed in life even if they don't have noticeable talents.

1. Passion to learn. In 2002, the team had just won the conference championship when one of the players said, "Even champions can get better" as they prepared for a bowl game. The players in this team are teachable. You stand in front, and you can see and feel how they are sucking in every bit of wisdom or practical tip you share. You don't need talents to be teachable. What you need is desire to learn and discipline to apply learned information.

2. Ability to learn from all available sources. How many coaches out there would risk having someone who had no clue how football is played speak to their team? "Even though you never played football, your understanding of how a team must function as one to be successful is amazingly accurate" wrote Dirk Koetter, Arizona State football head coach after one of my presentations. The tips you need for something that is dear to you may come from unexpected sources.

3. Invest in growth. When last did you attend a seminar or read a book that was not required for your job? When last did you take someone you want to learn from out for breakfast or dinner? In football, time matters in a huge way. To have someone come speak for an hour is a huge investment. You need to invest in your mental, physical and spiritual growth.

4. Self-initiative. This comes with extra trimmings...responsibility for one's choices, decisions and actions, and putting a plan together for achieving one's goals. You would be impressed to see young men, in their late teens and early twenties doing what needs to be done without being asked to. No talent is ever needed to be self motivated and doing what needs to be done before one is asked.

5. Flexibility. What talent does one need to change? Some of the players had excelled in certain positions while in high school. However, for their own growth and the team's success, they learn knew skills for different positions. Change is the currency that will buy you a portion of the future in a world that is changing faster than ever before. No talent needed.

6. Courage to try. I worked with the team several times before I learned who was who and how they had joined the team. Brock Forsey, an outstanding player was a walk-on-a player who was not recruited and had no scholarship but the coaches allows him to join the team after they watch a demo video. Brock was one of the best players the school has ever had. Millions never live up have to their potential because they lack the courage to walk-on into potential opportunities.

7. Steering away from distractions. There is no talent needed to stay away from habits and activities that take your focus and efforts from what you love. This starts with the associates you keep. To succeed you need to have people around you who are positively investing in their own futures.

8. Persistence. Our last child's name is persistence. No talent, education, money or family connections are needed for one to be persistent. Is your goal important to you? Does is help you live a better life? Then why quit?

9. Be humble. While I have seen these players in team meetings, I rarely recognize then when they come to the classes I teach at BSU. They just blend in with other students. Humility requires no talent.
